Religion & spirituality books

Printed books made to carry teachings, reflections, and traditions forward.

Printing formats adapted to your needs

Religion and spirituality books are often made to be revisited, reflected on, and kept close at hand. Whether the content is instructional, devotional, ceremonial, or inspirational, the right printing choices will guide the reading experience.

Some books are designed for daily reading, while others are created as keepsakes, or reference works to be preserved over time. The best format, paper and binding will depend on how the book will be used, the amount of text it contains, whether it includes images, and the kind of presence you want it to have in the reader’s hands.

Looking for
a custom
solution?

Whether you are printing a prayer book, a spiritual guide, or a religious text, our team is here to help you choose the right format, paper, and binding for your project.

With a wide range of trim sizes, paper options, and binding styles available, you have the flexibility to create a book that feels aligned with your message and the way the book is meant to be used by your readers.

Choosing the right binding and paper for your religion or spirituality book

The right printing choices depend first and foremost on how the book will be read and handled. Softcover formats are often a practical choice for books intended for regular reading, study, or group use, since they are lighter and easy to carry. Hardcover formats offer added protection and durability, making them a strong choice for books meant to be kept, gifted, or used over many years.

Paper choice also shapes the reading experience. Cream offset paper is often appreciated for long-form reading because it feels warm and easy on the eyes. White offset paper offers sharper contrast and works well for books that include charts or structured content. Matte papers can give the book a softer, more refined finish, while glossy paper may be appropriate when photography or visual elements play an important role.

The right combination of printing choices helps create a book that is professional and thoughtful.

FAQ about religion & spirituality books

How do I lay out my novel/non-fiction book?

To ensure that your book is produced in the most professional and aesthetic way, ideally your files should be prepared in advanced layout software such as Adobe InDesign. Thanks to our Graphic design & page layout service, one of our graphic designers can help you with this.

Alternatively, an online tool such as Canva can be used to create relatively high quality print files.

If your book contains images, avoid using Microsoft Word as much as possible.

Once your quotation has been accepted, our pre-press team will be on hand to examine your files and give you advice on how to provide us with 100% compliant files.

A sheet is a physical piece of paper that always has two pages: one on the front and one on the back.

At Rapido, we always express ourselves in terms of the number of pages on our quotes and in our communications, never in terms of the number of sheets.

Like all professional printers, we need 2 separate PDF files: one for the inside of the book, the other for the assembled cover (except for books in spiral/wire’o binding, for which only 1 PDF file is required).

These PDFs must comply with a certain number of conditions concerning presentation, format, fonts, bleeds, image resolution and colour profile. For a full list of our technical requirements, visit our Printing guide section.

The value of the spine depends on the number of pages in your book and the paper chosen; it is indicated on all our quotes. And don’t hesitate to use our free online spine calculator!
