Do you offer test copies or PDF proofs?
Yes. We can provide a PDF proof so you can review the layout, text, and overall file setup before printing.
We also always recommend printing a proof or a first test copy, which allows you to see and handle the book in physical form before proceeding with the full print run. This is particularly useful if you wish to check the appearance, the choice of paper and binding, and the quality of the final product.
What happens if the test copy doesn't meet my expectations?
At Rapido, your satisfaction will always be our priority.
If for any reason the test copy you received is not to your liking and you prefer to deal with another printer, we will fully respect your decision.
How long will it take to print my books?
Once your files are approved and ready for production, and your test copy has been confirmed, most orders are printed within 5 to 10 business days.
Larger volume orders, hardcover books, and projects with custom binding or specialty finishes may require additional production time.
For a more precise timeline, we recommend contacting our team about your specific project.
What type of glue do you use for your perfect binding/softcover books?
We use EVA glue for our perfect binding and softcover books because it offers an excellent balance of strength, flexibility, and durability.
It helps create a binding that is made to hold up well over time while keeping the spine flexible enough for comfortable handling. It is part of our commitment to delivering high-quality books without added cost.
What types of cover finish do you offer?
We offer a choice of glossy lamination or matte scuff-resistant lamination for your covers. Each option gives your book a different look and feel while helping protect the cover during handling and transport.
There is also an option without lamination. It may be preferred in certain very specific cases, but ultimately exposes the ink to climatic hazards.
Spot UV can also be applied to print runs of 100 copies or more. A transparent, glossy varnish is used to highlight specific elements or letters in the title.
Do you respect fibre direction?
Yes. We respect fibre direction (ie the grain) for both the cover stock and the interior pages. This means the paper grain always runs parallel to the spine, which helps create a more flexible book that opens and handles better.
What type of printing equipment do you use?
We print using high-definition digital printing technology.
Our equipment allows us to produce sharp, consistent results with rich blacks that closely match the look of offset printing. This helps us achieve a professional finish while avoiding the overly heavy blacks that can sometimes occur with digital printing.
What happens if there’s a printing error or problem?
If there is a printing error or production issue, contact our team as soon as possible with photos and a description of the problem.
We will review the situation and work with you to find the right solution. We are committed to making sure you receive a final product that meets the agreed production standards.
How do I access the client portal?
The client portal is accessible only after you have accepted your quote and confirmed your order.
If you can’t remember your password, use the ‘Forgot your password?’ function to reset it, or contact your Rapido Books representative who will help you.
